Anti-Statism is Constitutional
A movement by “We the People” to protect our democracy and help restore constitutional order
"Give all power to the many, they will oppress the few. Give all power to the few, they will oppress the many. Both, therefore, ought to have the power, that each may defend itself against the other"-Alexander Hamilton1
The theory of anti-statism could be considered fundamental in America since the Declaration of Independence2. The idea that the state or federal government with unchecked power and expansion could inevitably infringe upon individual liberties is fundamental in United States constitutionalism . The foundational belief that the individual themselves is actually an imposition to the innate plans of the state both in its apparent or obscure plans. Therefore our founding fathers, with great foresight, found it absolutely necessary to protect the rights of the individual and therefore limited the power of the federal government. The founders supported constitutional order, which enabled a powerful individual. So when you hear the media talking about: “dangerous citizens who are anti-government” they might be gaslighting the everyday citizen. This demonizing rhetoric might be solely based on the fact that the citizen simply disagrees with the direction by the ruling minority in this country.
John Locke is considered by many to be the pioneer of classic liberal thought. His ideas were very influential in the idealogy of the 3rd US President and author of Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson. Locke theorized in his book, Two Treatises of Government that since governments exist by the consent of the people in order to protect the rights of the people and to promote the public good, governments that fail to do so can be resisted and replaced with new governments3. So does anti-statism fundamentally protect the individual? From Lockes theory I would conclude the answer is yes.
“But whether the resistance against government tyrants is non-violent or physically violent, the effort to overthrow state oppression qualifies as true patriotism.”-Ron Paul4
As we enter 2022, we seemingly are at important impasses in our country. The camps are divided on how it views the power of the state against the will of the consent. The consent is the people, the citizenry which makes up the majority populous in this country. The state is more aptly seen as the ruling oligarchs that basically control all the key power centers in this country. Whether it is big corporate monopolies, heads of government administrations, or the big tech oligarchs we are run by a minority faction that impose their ideas upon the populous without true consent of the governed.
"I predict future happiness for
Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."- Thomas Jefferson5
As I finish this article I want to make one thing perfectly clear I do not support anarchism. I support democratic mobilization that aims to bring this country back to its constitutional order. We after all are a constitutional republic that is governed by the consent of the people. The US Constitution6 was written to protect the natural right of the citizen not to protect government. When you have the executive branch authorizing vaccine mandates and citizens are hanging on pins and needles for a decision by the Supreme Court to protect their constitutional rights maybe our country has forsaken its constitutional order. When you see heads of government administrations such as Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to the president, making unilateral decisions on the direction of how to handle the virus and silencing dissent maybe our country is out of its original constitutional order. When you see the justice department, headed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, writing memos to the FBI to investigate parents who are confronting school boards about education proposals in their children’s education then we might not be in constitutional order. The reality is the only group that help bring this country back to its constitutional order is “we the people”.
So let’s unify together and get out to caucus February 1st so “we the people” can take back our precincts, districts, counties, states and country.
"We are taking back village by village this is why the left is going so
crazy. This is why everyone has to stay
together do not right off Oregon, do not give up on Washington, and do
not even give up on California"-Steve
